L’utente Twitter NWPlayer123 ha effettuato un data mining su Splatoon e ha scoperto dei nuovi contenuti sul disco in attesa di essere rilasciati. Nello specifico sono state individuate due nuove mappe e diverse armi inedite, anche se alcuni dati relativi a queste ultime non sembrano essere completi e potrebbero non arrivare in futuro. Una delle nuove mappe, Skyscraper, potrebbe essere quella mostrata nel trailer di annuncio dello Splatfest.
